English and Maths together!

I have just created my second Infographic. They are a great way of combining English and Maths. It is sometimes difficult to get Maths into the English classroom and creating infographics about an author is one way to do this. I will create a rubric and trial the activity in class next.
All up it took me about an hour. Students would need to gather the data first, that could be something like the amount of each title sold, the countries in which they are sold, the dates of publication, the genres, the amount of characters, pages, whether or not they have been films and how much money they have made as well as biographical details about the author.
These would make great book week displays.
It’s a great way in for more difficult authors, which is why I began with Shakespeare.
Great fun!
