Teacher Mark Creasy has turned the traditional concept of homework on it’s head by tasking his students with the administration and assessment. Here’s how it works

Louise Robinson-Lay‘s insight:

I really like this concept. Homework is  often such a battleground, I have had students become anxious around it and parents want more and more seeing it as giving their children a competitive edge.  This is a good solution to a complex problem. It also individualizes instruction and creates a situation where students take responsibility for their own work. They select from a series of possible tasks and then reflect on them.  It also allows for more creativity rather than the drill and skill approach that many well-meaning parents equate with good learning.
